ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGES IN THE XXTH CENTURY POLAND AND THEIR INFLUENCE ON WATER SUPPLY
The article describes a possible future problem of providing a sufficient amount of water on the Polish territory. It highlights the country’s water balance, threatened by changes in the natural environment. It also points to the development of climate change over time and its impact on water regimes. We learn that the negative processes occuring presently may last for a very long time and the length of their action is unpredictable since they greatly depend on climate changes over which we have no control.
